If there’s one thing that’s been a recurring theme this baseball season (off-the-field), it’s been the sparse crowds and rather desolate stadiums being shown on TV. Back in April and May, you could excuse this as being a side-effect of the cold that plagued parts of the country.
However, even as the weather has warmed up, interest in the sport has not. Attendance is down over six percent across the board, with almost two-thirds of teams showing drops in tickets sold per game from last season. This isn’t a video to try and find solutions, but to give focus to a problem that is reaching greater and greater cause for concern.
